We’ve just spent some time upgrading a Planet X TT Bike with a new stem and aero extensions after a bike fit. But we also got to put a SRAM RED eTAP Aero Kit on it!! The car like shifting (right changes up, left changes down and hit both to change at the front) is so intuitive – and only possible with electronic shifters. Ironically for a ‘wireless’ system though – routing the 2 sets of ‘blips’ and ‘clics’ through the bars and extensions to the stem mounted ‘blipbox’ was the most challenging and time consuming part of the job. The ‘clics’ are designed for Aero Extensions with a round cross section, whereas the ones on the bike were more like a rounded triangle delta shape. Therefore some custom made bungs were needed to fit the ‘clics’ into the bars. #Seriouslytempted, #SRAM, #eTAP
